After reading the first few chapters in this novel, I found myself thinking of Bridget Jones and the follies that she had got herself into while looking for love.
Georgie, has a boyfriend and is in love with him. They have this recurring vision of going to Rome and doing as Audrey Hepburn did in the movie Roman Holiday. But before that had happened, she was head over heels in love with Mike. In this tale of suspicion, lies, and love, Georgie doesn’t know who to believe once the story gets on. Then there is the stuff happening at work – a possible merger.
It was comical when Georgie is getting into her usual slew of things as family and friends has put it. It was a fast, easy read, to take your mind off the absolutely frigid weather that is about to hit the region. It was light and well written, just one of those “quickies” when you have been reading something on the heavy side.
Does Georgie get what she ultimately wants in life and love? Well, I’m not one for “spoilers” so, you will just have to read for yourself what happens!
