Planetwatch: The Young Persons Guide to Protecting Our World – DK Publishing

We live in a beautiful world, but it’s a changing and fragile place that needs to be taken care of.  What can we do to protect our incredible planet?

From the large picture of Earth as one, down to the small details about how the small things that we could do, would make such a difference.

From climate change and what may happen to food, what we eat, the air we breathe, the land we live on.

From our own backyards to places around the world you may or may not have heard of before, we all can make small changes together to make a huge difference in the long-term, so that everyone has the opportunity to revel on how beautiful and diverse the earth truly is and also attempt to keep it that way.

From the food we eat, to the animals that are still populating different areas of the world.  That we see and what ones we don’t that have different ecosystems in a way that children will appreciate and understand – on their level.

Did you know –

  • There are almost 7 billion people on earth, and by 2050 there will be over 9 billion?
  • We have used up over half of the earth for our own use – crops, forest plantations, pastures, as well as cities or industrialized areas?
  • We pollute the seas and altering the atmosphere on a minute by minute basis?

We need to reduce our resources and share the wealth.
